CLASSES
All dog training classes are taught at Pet Food Express in their back room, 6398 Telegraph Avenue (at Alcatraz) in Oakland. Easy parking in lot. Register by paying online now or call: 510 - 849 - 9323
Join us for four weeks of lots of socialization with other dogs and people. Weekly discussion and review of how your puppy is doing with the usual problem areas: housebreaking, crating, chewing, mouthing, home alone problems, and more. Learn to understand what your dog is telling you with its body language. Get started with puppy training basics: come, sit, stay and more. This class is for dogs two to six months with at least two sets of puppy shots. Small dogs may be slightly older.
Four Wednesdays, February 10 - March 3, 7 - 8 pm, $100
FAMILY DOG ONE -- A Beginning Class
Upbeat beginning dog training class for adolescent & adult dogs and family members. Learn how to effectively train your dog in all the obedience dog training basics through exercises, games, and real-life situations. We'll train your dog the following commands: sit, down, stand, stay, heel, loose leash walking, recall (coming when called), drop it, leave it, no jumping up on people, and more. Lots of dog training handouts. Clicker use demonstrated.
Six Wednesdays, February 10 - March 17, 6 - 7 pm, $150
DOGGY TUNE UP! A Short Intermediate Dog Training Class
An intermediate class with lots of individual attention. We review the 'tough stuff.' Recall (coming when called), walking on leash without pulling as well as heeling (walking at your side), no jumping on people, and stay in the sit and down position. Weather permitting, we work outside some of the time. Practice meeting and greeting people and other dogs, 'stay' with distractions, walking without pulling past food and other intriguing objects.
Four Tuesdays, February 16 - March 9, 7 - 8 pm, $100
WORKSHOPS
COME, SPOT, COME!
Train your dog in this one-session workshop for a reliable recall no matter what the distraction. Learn how to train your dog to come when called and how to practice with increasing levels of distraction and in a variety of circumstances. We'll use exercises and games that will make your dog really want to come when called.

SLOW DOWN! (aka Loose Leash Walking)
Don't go on a drag! Take this dog training class and teach your dog to walk on a loose leash. Get the tools you need in this one-session workshop. Learn how to teach your dog to to walk without pulling on the leash and when, where, and how to practice loose leash walking. Also "side of the road" and out of the way of people and other dogs whether on or off leash and "get around" for those times when your dog wants to wrap the leash around you or some object. Exercises, tips and handouts cover the various learning stages in this one session dog training class.

MODIFICATION CONSULTATIONS AND PRIVATE DOG TRAINING
BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION CONSULTATIONS deal with the specific dog training problems you are having with your dog at home or while out on walks. The consultations are private and include evaluations, exercises, recommendations, and practice as well as follow up. Issues dealt with include aggression, fear, anxiety, home alone problems such as separation anxiety, jumping on people and furniture, destruction, pulling, recall (coming when called), barking, housebreaking and all the puppy issues, and more.
PRIVATE DOG TRAINING is designed specifically for your needs and schedule. We can cover basic dog training commands or work at a higher level. You learn how to train your dog in just minutes a day using positive reinforcement dog training.

PRIVATE PUPPY PREP is dog training for the new dog owner. We'll cover all the dog training basics: Housebreaking, crate training, barking, chewing, bite inhibition, mouthing & more. Get your dog off to the right start in private consultations in your home. Begin dog training before your dog has had all its shots. Positive reinforcement dog training only. Clicker training available. Young dogs need something to do and dog training can be just the thing -- made fun and easy, of course.
Walk/Training
Sessions are designed to train your dog leash
skills, basic obedience and trail manners. These walks work best with
your participation, however, I can also train the dog in-between our
sessions together.
