COME, SPOT, COME!
Train your dog in this one-session workshop for a reliable recall no matter what the distraction. Learn how to train your dog to come when called and how to practice with increasing levels of distraction and in a variety of circumstances. We'll use exercises and games that will make your dog really want to come when called.

SLOW DOWN! (aka Loose Leash Walking)
Don't go on a drag! Take this dog training class and teach your dog to walk on a loose leash. Get the tools you need in this one-session workshop. Learn how to teach your dog to to walk without pulling on the leash and when, where, and how to practice loose leash walking. Also "side of the road" and out of the way of people and other dogs whether on or off leash and "get around" for those times when your dog wants to wrap the leash around you or some object. Exercises, tips and handouts cover the various learning stages in this one session dog training class.

PUPPY PREP: Socialization and More
Lots of individual attention in this three week puppy dog training class for socialization with other puppies and people. While the dogs play, we'll discuss how to handle puppy dog training issues such as house training, crate training, mouthing, biting, chewing household objects, jumping up on people, home alone and separation anxiety problems, and more. We'll also start training sit, come, stay, walking on a loose leash without pulling or chewing the leash. For puppies ages 12 weeks - 6 months with two sets of the basic shots. Small breeds may be slightly older.
Class in late Spring to be announced.

FAMILY DOG TWO
An intermediate dog training class that continues the work of Family Dog One, or other beginning dog training class, perfecting the response you get to all training commands. You will learn how to work with your dog with different and increasing levels of distraction. We work both inside the classroom and outside. Sit, down, stand - and all three in the stay position - loose leash walking without pulling and heel, coming when called, drop it, leave it, get around, side of the road, etc.
Will be offered again in late Spring of 2008.

BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION CONSULTATIONS deal with the specific dog training problems you are having with your dog at home or while out on walks. The consultations are private and include evaluations, exercises, recommendations, and practice as well as follow up. Issues dealt with include aggression, fear, anxiety, home alone problems such as separation anxiety, jumping on people and furniture, destruction, pulling, recall (coming when called), barking, housebreaking and all the puppy issues, and more.

PRIVATE DOG TRAINING is designed specifically for your needs and schedule. We can cover basic dog training commands or work at a higher level. You learn how to train your dog in just minutes a day using positive reinforcement dog training.

Private dog training, puppy training and dog walk and training sessions are available in Berkeley, Oakland, Emeryville, San Leandro, Orinda, Lafayette, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Albany, Kensington, Alameda, El Cerrito, Richmond, San Pablo, Pinole and more. PRIVATE PUPPY PREP is dog training for the new dog owner. We'll cover all the dog training basics: Housebreaking, crate training, barking, chewing, bite inhibition, mouthing & more. Get your dog off to the right start in private consultations in your home. Begin dog training before your dog has had all its shots. Positive reinforcement dog training only. Clicker training available. Young dogs need something to do and dog training can be just the thing -- made fun and easy, of course.

Walk/Training Sessions are designed to train your dog leash skills, basic obedience and trail manners. These walks work best with your participation, however, I can also train the dog in-between our sessions together.
